In a proactive step towards addressing substance abuse among youth, a Laudium family has partnered with the Himalaya Secondary School, the HHOA (Himalaya Home Owners Association), and the Laudium Community Policing Forum (CPF) to launch a pioneering drug-testing initiative.
As part of this initiative, 50 drug-testing kits have been donated to the school. This project aims to create a safer and healthier environment within the school and potentially serve as a model for other schools in the area.
Mr. Aniel Soma, a key figure behind the initiative, expressed optimism about the project's potential impact, stating, "If the pilot proves successful, the project will be expanded further within the school and, ultimately, to other schools in the area." The collaboration highlights the community's commitment to the well-being of its youth and underscores the importance of joint efforts in tackling social challenges.
The initiative is expected to enhance the school's ability to address substance abuse proactively and provide necessary support to students in need.
