“SPONSORS OF BRAVE”, an Adcock-Ingram OTC initiative, has awarded several media personalties for their bravery.
Well known anti-crime activist and TV presenter, Yusuf Abramjee, were among the recipients.
The awards were presented at a Gala Dinner in Johannesburg.
Abramjee said he was “humbled.”
It’s the fourth consecutive year Abramjee is receiving the bravery award.
Abramjee is the producer and presenter of the popular weekly TV show Crime Watch on etv and eNCA.
He has received scores of journalist and media awards over the years.
Other recipients this year included Farhaad Omar from INX Prime, TV presenter Uveka Rangappa, Faizal Patel from the Citizen, Qaanitah Hunter from News 24 Katy Katopodis, Ashraf Garda, Fakir Hassen, Aki Anastasiou, 702’s Bongani Bingwa and Clement Manyatela, SABC’s Sakina Kamwendo and Chriselda Lewis and Masa Kekana from Carte Blanche.
The late Derrick Watts was also
awarded posthumously.
