Laudium Police in conjunction with the African National Congress (ANC) Women’s League from the Region including Ward 61 held an awareness campaign on Sunday morning at the Itireleng informal settlement outside Laudium.
The campaign which was aimed at raising awareness against gender based violence also included disability & older persons rights and education on victim support services rendered at the local police station.
Police encouraged women to report abuse, they were assured of their right to safety.
