On Friday, September 26, 2025, the Silver Crescent Hall in Laudium will host the "Theory of Heartbeats" Fundraising High Tea, a sophisticated and inspiring event aimed at raising funds for The Knead Skills Academy. This initiative, run by the Al Fidaa Foundation, an NPO, provides free skills training to underprivileged individuals in baking, culinary arts, and sewing.
The event, scheduled for 2:30 pm, promises an afternoon filled with inspiration, fun, and connection. Guests will enjoy a delightful high tea featuring goodies crafted by students from The Knead Skills Centre. Appa Zaahira Karrim from Ummah Heart will be joining the event as a special guest, volunteering her time to support this worthy cause.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards covering the running expenses of The Knead Skills Academy, enabling it to continue providing vital skills training to those in need. The academy, led by Naadira Hassan, has three schools offering comprehensive courses: Baking (4 weeks), Culinary (5 months), and Sewing (6 months).
