A tavern in the informal settlement of Itireleng was operating in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Police were patrolling around the area and heard loud music being played from the tavern.
The tavern was closed and liquor and a loud speaker was confiscated. A 34 year old man was arrested for trading without a license.
In a separate incident, five suspects aged between 28 and 54 years were arrested on Tuesday afternoon for assault GBH in Jacinth Street.
Police have said they will continue with more patrolling, stop and search duties and show more visibility in the area.
