Laudium Cricket Club made history this past weekend by being the first hub (club from a previously disasvantaged area) to play in the finals of the titans T20 cup. After a string of excellent performances our local team lost in the final to CBC Old Boys on Sunday 8 October.
In other exciting news, 5 of Laudium’s junior players have been selected to represent the Titans at provincial tournaments to be held in various parts of the country during December. The players selected are Shalok Joshi and Ayaan Malik (under 12), Sahl Mohamed (under 13), Rehaan Patel (under 15) and Muhammad Borabat (under 17). After a grueling process of 3 rounds of net trials and playing 3 50 over games in 3 days, our boys showed that Laudium cricketers are good enough to compete with the best.
In another historic moment, a Laudium ladies team will for the first time compete in the titans league this weekend.
With big things happening, the community of Laudium is invited to get involved in local cricket. The club caters for boys and girls from the age of 7. For more information please contact Mustaak on 0832684742 or Suhail on 0823668886
