Police in Laudium held an awareness campaign on drug abuse and bullying at the Hillside Primary School on Wednesday morning.

School children have been encouraged to stay away from drugs.

Learners were told not to indulge in any form of drug or alcohol as a way to have fun and were urged to concentrate on their books.

They were told this by different stakeholders and the police during a drug awareness campaign this morning.

The campaign was organised by the Social Crime Prevention Unit, and in attendance was Kopano Manyano of Victim Empowerment Centre and Social Worker Ms Nonkululeko Mafa.

Constable Simon Chokoe told learners to be vigilant at all times and report any sort of crime without fear to the 086 001 0111 or Laudium Police on 012 374 9846/7
