A well-known Centurion security owner has succumbed to Covid-19.
Idrish Patel of Pro-Active Security passed away late on Saturday evening after being in hospital for over two weeks.
Condolences have been pouring in for the anti-crime activist.
The Sunderland Ridge business community says news of his death has come as a shock.
“Such a good human being, he was so friendly and accomodating to all.
He has done so much for our friends, family members and the community.” said Ziyaad Shabbodin.
“Also, a selfless and big hearted person that has been helping the poor and less fortunate people in the communities where he has been working and serving.
“Easy to talk to, easy to work with, a team player in any situation, we will miss him.” Added Shaboddin
Social Activist, Yusuf Abramjee, said Idrish was a “passionate and dedicated crime fighter. He also assisted during the food distribution when the lockdown started.”
Abramjee said Idrish “did much over the years and our prayers are with his family, friends and the community.”
Maria Moeletsi said, “May your humble soul rest in peace Boss, you will forever be missed and loved by the PAS Team. What a sad loss to the community and all.”
Prajay Ramjee of PAJ Community Patrollers said, “Our town has lost a great man, One of our guardians, always ready to assist the community even if it did not benefit him.”
May The Almighty grant him the highest stages in Paradise and make it easy on his family, friends and associates.
