On Saturday 06 March 2021, Jacaranda Primary School held a memorial service for the late Mr Suren Reddhi at the school. Mr Reddhi was a wonderful, great leader, loving husband and devoted father.
He left a huge void at Jacaranda Primary School. He was a cheerful gentleman with a warm and compassionate heart and great listener. He left with us all his great expertise in handling any challenges that may have arose.
He spent very little time on a problem and more time in finding solutions. That played a major role in him being such a wise and great leader in our school and community. We hope to carry this wonderful legacy forward.
Many prominent people attended the memorial service. Those in attendance were the bereaved Reddhi family, district officials: Ms W Bodiba (I.D.S.O), Ms B Makinta (facilitator), Mr Malule (Official Tshwane South), Chairperson of Jacaranda Primary School Governing Body Mr E. Omar, Mrs N. Pillay (Treasurer), Mr Hamid Salleh Mohamed Principal of Hillside Primary, Mrs R. Bhagarathy Principal of Andrew Anthony Primary School and the staff of Jacaranda Primary School.
The memorial service was a heart-breaking function in which many speakers expressed their sentiments amid much grief and sorrow. The service ended with a sombre and emotional unveiling of a plaque dedicated to Mr S. Reddhi for his contribution to education. The releasing of several doves at the end of the function signified out final good-byes. He will be forever remembered.
May his soul rest in eternal peace. Amen
