More widely known as the Pretoria Zoo, the National Zoological Garden in Boom Street and the National Botanical Gardens will remain open amidst #CoronaVirus fears.
The South African National Biodiversity Institute (SANBI) has adapted its working protocols to ensure the safety of its staff, visitors and the animals in its care.
SANBI is in the process of ensuring its National Botanical and Zoological Gardens are compliant with international guidelines regarding improved hygiene in order to slow down the spread of the coronavirus.
Members of the public are urged to follow the guidelines issued by the Department of Health and other agencies, and practice social distancing, hand washing, sneezing and coughing precautions. Visitors to all the gardens are urged to make use the wide open spaces and fresh air.
