Laudium, Claudius, and Gerhardsville residents are still without water, with no relief in sight until Sunday, according to unofficial reports from the City of Tshwane. The prolonged water shortage has left residents frustrated and concerned, with many wondering when the crisis will be resolved.


\"We are experiencing extreme hardship, and it's unacceptable that we have been without water since Monday midday,\" said a resident. \"We need answers and we need them now.\"


Elderly residents are particularly struggling, with many relying on community efforts to access basic necessities like drinking water and bathing facilities. \"It's been a challenge, but the community has rallied around us,\" said a pensioner. \"We're grateful for the water deliveries, but it's not sustainable. We just want our water back.\"


Councilor Naeem Patel has requested official communication from the Bulk Water Director and Rand Water, and has spoken directly to the Director to convey the frustration and hardship residents are experiencing.


In the meantime, water tankers are scheduled to visit various locations in Laudium today, including:


- Cnr Delhi and Bengal street

- Bengal street flats

- White blocks (Primrose and 19th Avenue)

- Jacaranda School Park

- Itereleng (from 10:30am onwards)

- Erasmia water point (cnr Leisching and Babara Coetzee) will open at around 10:30am


The community has come together to support vulnerable residents, with Laudium Disaster Management, Laudium Community Care, Cllr's Office, Laudium CPF, Erasmia CPF, Ward 61 Residents Association, and PAJ Community Patrollers delivering water to elderly and disabled residents.


\"We're doing our best to support our neighbors, but we need the authorities to step in and resolve this crisis,\" said a community volunteer. \"It's unacceptable that our residents are suffering like this.\"


The City of Tshwane and Rand Water are expected to issue official communication by lunch time today.
