The meeting was described by those attending as highly fruitful as the PLF starts establishing and positioning itself as a credible and trusted community organisation, intent on preserving our history and the legacy of our forebears.
The strategic objectives of the PLF is also to celebrate our diversity, promote peace, religious, and cultural tolerance and to contribute to the development of our society and to assist with its welfare.
A priority of the foundation will remain to provide leadership and promote social cohesion.
The next phase of the activities of the PLF will be to strengthen engagements with stakeholders and establish working relationships.
Another important objective will be to establish a series of working committees that will encompass several community and cultural activities with a strong emphasis of getting the youth involved.
In this regard the PLF will once the pandemic has eased, visit schools to speak at assemblies and to History students about the legacy project and provide some literature about our history as a community.
The foundation will also strive to better the development of our society and contribute to the resolution of conflicts through mediation and other interventions and has recently successfully done so in a matter that was seen as decisive to our community.
The foundation expressed its thanks to all its members especially the trustees who have accepted the responsibilities to guiding and navigating the foundation to achieving its strategic objectives and mission.
