Police secure two convictions in Laudium

Police in Laudium welcomed both convictions: 30 year old Timothy Mabe for Attempted theft.


Dedicated member Sergeant Julia Nhlatleng managed to secure a conviction of an eighteen months direct imprisonment which was handed at Atteridgeville Magistrate court on 2020-11-25


In a separate incident: Ukaye Alehlaque Mohammed was convicted for reckless and negligent driving. 


Dedicated member Constable Tlou Tselane of Laudium SAPS managed to secure the conviction, a fine of two thousand rand (R2000.00) or three months imprisonment wholly suspended for three years.


The conviction was handed at Atteridgeville Magistrate court on the 2020-11-26.


In another incident, bail was denied for murder suspects on the 2020-11-25 at Atteridgeville Magistrate court.


Laudium SAPS Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Margaret Nkwane applauded members for their continuous hard work and success on fighting crime.


She further stated that criminals will no longer be roaming freely in Laudium.
