Police visit Laudium Shopping Centre as part of Crime Awareness and Gender Based Violence Campaign

Members of Laudium SAPS, Social Crime Prevention and Communications, Victim Empowerment NPO Kopano Manyano as well as Sector Managers and Youth Desk visited the Laudium Shopping Centre on Wednesday as part of the Theft out of Motor Vehicle and Gender Based Violence Campaign.

Motorists were advised not to leave any items visible in their vehicles and to ensure that their vehicles windows are closed and doors are locked before leaving parking areas.

Police visibility was increased in and around the CBD as leaflets containing crime prevention tips, gender based violence and victim empowerment were distributed to members of the public.

Motorists, Business owners and Community members were once again advised to report any suspicious activity to the police via the SAPS Crime Stop number 08600 10111.

I haven’t seen a cop in sight. Rather I see crooked car guards and beggars mostly Nyopi smoker at every street comer.
