Captain Pat Govender turned 70 on 2022-03-19. He was the first indian policeman from Durban to come to Laudium in 1973. He worked tirelessly amongst the Laudium community for 31yrs. He was a father figure to his junior members and always made time to mentor and encourage them. To date, even at the age of 70, his heart is with S.A. Police Service as well as his community. He always made time for his wife, kids and his extended family even through his busy career. He is an amazing example of a true warrior that showed that even through the apartheid era his loyalty and wonderful personality has contributed to his successful career.
