A security guard has allegedly been abducted during a house robbery in Erasmia on Thursday morning. The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 AM after three armed suspects travelling in a grey Audi RS3 gained entry to the De Winter street premises.
The suspects demanded valuables prior to fleeing the scene with unknown items.
It is currently unclear whether the security guard, a Malawian national, was employed by a security company or by the homeowner.
Police are investigating the possibility that the guard may have been involved in the robbery.
Any information regarding the incident may be communicated to the police via the SAPS 10111 emergency number or by contacting Erasmia SAPS.
Members of the community are once again being urged to only employ workers with valid credentials and contactable references.
