Two nabbed for possession of stolen property

Two men aged 27 and 36 years old were arrested in the early hours of this morning in Laudium for possession of suspected stolen property.


Police were conducting their normal routine stop and searches around Laudium when they came across two suspicious men carrying four continental vehicle size R14 tyres with standard rims along Cuprene street.


When questioned, both men couldn't account for the Tyres and were immediately arrested for possession of suspected stolen property. 


Laudium SAPS Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Margaret Nkwane applauded members for a job well done and also encouraged members to continue with the good work, which is to fight crime in our community. 


The community are urged to report any suspicious motor vehicles or persons to the police without fear on 0860010111 or the local police number. 


Laudium SAPS will continue with more visibility and stop and searches to ensure that the community are and feel safe.

Suspect will appear in the Atteridgeville Magistrate court soon.
