The Laudium Erasmia Clean-Up Group has once again delivered—this time by donating two much-needed 5,000-litre JoJo water tanks to the residents of Itireleng.
The generous contribution comes as part of a collaborative effort under the guidance of Councillor Patel, sparked by a local group of determined Itireleng residents who took matters into their own hands by establishing a thriving vegetable garden. This grassroots initiative is already transforming lives—providing affordable fresh produce to the community, while ensuring that struggling families receive essential vegetables free of charge.

But like many good ideas, it needed support.
When the group approached Councillor Patel for assistance in sourcing water tanks to sustain the garden, the call didn’t go unanswered. The Laudium Erasmia Clean-Up Group stepped in without hesitation, turning a community dream into a sustainable reality.
And this is nothing new.
Over the past two years, the Laudium Erasmia Clean-Up Group has been hard at work behind the scenes, uplifting the area and restoring pride in the community. From maintaining key access routes to improving the entrances in and out of Laudium and Erasmia, their impact has been visible—and widely appreciated. Residents have seen firsthand the remarkable transformation of their surroundings.
Now, the group is calling on the community to be part of the movement.
Residents who are eager to make a difference are encouraged to get involved, while those in a position to support through funding or donations are warmly invited to contribute to this growing initiative.
Because when a community comes together, real change flows.
